Have you noticed the gold Nevada PTA Volunteer shirts at various activities? Or is yours getting a little faded (or you volunteer so often it’s dirty when you need it again?) We will submit an order for new Volunteer shirts after our October 3 meeting. Shirts are $12.50. If you are unable to attend the meeting, we will accept orders at our PO Box 26 address or we have a mail slot at Central Elementary. Volunteer shirts help show how much PTA is helping and identify you to both other volunteers and patrons. Click on the line below to print your own form:

Want to get involved in “enabling and empowering” Nevada students? Nevada PTA works for students in preschool through 12th grade. We meet the first Monday of the month at Central Elementary library. Please join us for a light meal at 5:45 pm and our 6:00 pm Meeting (we are usually done by 7 pm). Put these dates in your planner:

Thanks, Nevada Parks and Rec, for providing the fabulous venue and the lifeguards and staff! Thanks, Kona Ice, for shipping up colorful icy treats. Thank you to Nevada PTA volunteers for planning and staffing the event! Thank you to all those who helped get the word out. Thank you, Nevada PTA Summer Activities Committee, for jumping in and pulling it off! And to all those who attended and made the work worthwhile–thank YOU! Meeting will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. In addition to officer elections, we will be discussing PTA scholarships, reviewing the After-Prom party and looking forward to upcoming events including our Book Fair, summer events like our pool party and kicking off the next school year! Nevada PTA needs a new Vice-President and Treasurer for a two-year term beginning May, 2016. Would you like to serve the students, teachers and parents of Nevada in one of these positions? Or do you know someone you think would make a good officer? Election Committee Chairs Lisa Johnson and Amber Olson have provided this form for nominations. Nominees will be contacted to ensure their acceptance prior to our officer elections in May!
